Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I'm in page 618.

The book has 796 pages.

But I couldn't wait to watch the film and last Sunday I went to the cinema. I enjoyed the film a lot maily because (almost) everything was in my mind, very similar to what I had imagined while reading the book. However, I think that the action was going too fast. The thing is that I had the feeling that I could have followed the plot better because I had read the book. But, it would have been much more difficult for my boyfriend, for example, who hadn't read the book. Important events such as the Quidditch World Cup, Harry's loneliness, the relationship between Harry and his godfather (Sirius Black), Hermione's campaign for house-elves, etc. were completely left aside. I know it's difficult to summarize nearly 800 pages into a 2-hour film... but there were unimportant scenes which grew in importance in the film.

I don't know, perhaps, I'm too demmanding. I know books are usually better than films, but...
